Catalina is 2!

Catalina is such a joy. She is funny, happy, full of adventure and loves her family. She tries to be like mommy by cleaning and cooking and tries to be like the boys by dressing in the same clothes and doing anything that they do. She doesn't really try to be like Dave because she is too busy kissing, hugging and flat out adoring him whenever he is home - she LOVES her daddy!! Everyday is a new adventure with this little girl and there are a few pics to show what she has been up to this past year.

Cat got 3 Princess dolls and has had so much fun with them.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
Yee hah, Yee hah
Super Tough
She learned this from her brothers!
She is not a fan of long car trips.
Loves the playground
Is so pretty in her new dress and Daddy's shoes
Puddles make this girl so happy!
Catalina Susan,
Thank you for being such a wonderful addition to our family!!
We love you!

Daxton Turns 4!

Daxton is four years old! He LOVES guns, has a lot of fun playing with Catalina and Caleb, has learned how to ride a bike, loves to eat hot dogs, and is a complete snuggler! He is really smart and has a lot of fun learning in his preschool. When he grows up he wants to be a jet fighter pilot in the Air Force. Dax is truly a blessing in our lives!

Super Long Christmas Post for a Super Long Christmas Vacation

Christmas 2011 was awesome because it lasted 3 weeks. Dave had 3 weeks of leave so we stayed home for the first week, went to Houston, TX for the second week and flew to UT for the third week. It was so much fun to see all of our family and to finally have time as a family to just hang out.

We gave the kids their big gifts before we left on our adventure.
Here is Catalina having a blast on her new bouncy horse.
The boys got a power wheel tractor and they love it.
My brother came into town for a little while
and it was fun to see him since he has been
off at school for the past few years.
The kids adored him and they still
ask about when Uncle Matt is coming back.
While in Houston we went to the Zoo.
Catalina was completely freaked out at how big the animals actually were.
She opted to stay in her stroller and take in the view from her safety seat.
Nothing like becoming an animal while at the zoo.
Christmas morning was spent at Grandma Sue's.
It was neat because my mom has never experienced the
whole grandkid Christmas excitement.
The boys got guns...and they loved them!
Catalina got dolls and shoes...man was she in HEAVEN!
In UT we had another Christmas, and the boys got boots and weapons.
I am still in love with the viking hats!!
Although the snow in UT was scarce this year, we took the kids sledding.
The boys had so much fun!

Catalina had mandatory fun!
We are so thankful that we have family all over the country that love and support us! Thank you for making our Christmas Vacation so much fun!

Halloween

The boys wanted to be dragons from "How to Train Your Dragon" movie. The costumes were difficult but turned out to be some of my best. Caleb was the mean dragon at the end of the movie, Dax was Toothless, Catalina was a baby dragon, I was Astrid, and Dave was Hiccup. We went to the ward Halloween party a couple days before Dave got home and then went Trick or Treating on Halloween with Dave.

Our Summer...

This summer was full of unexpected travel and lots of family fun. We went to Utah for Dave's brother's wedding. Then I surprised my mom for her birthday and drove 10 hours to her house. The kids and I had lots of fun and just to prove it to you look at our pictures.
Wedding Fever in UT
The Cherry tree was a hit - free snacks and you got to climb a ladder!
We went to Wheeler Farm and I got to FINALLY milk a cow.
It was much different than I thought but it was cool.

The boys went fishing with Grandma and Grandpa.
They had lots of fun even though they didn't catch anything.
Grandpa took them shooting.
They really enjoyed shooting the metal targets "ping, ping, ping".
Grandma and the kidd-o's at Wheeler Farm
Cat didn't want to hike at all, yet when we found a little stream she did not want to leave.
The boys had a blast hiking the really wet and rocky trail.
The ducks are always a favorite at Wheeler Farm
Cat is secretly learning how to pick locks - hopefully this does not lead to bad teenage habits.
Before the groom's dinner could happen a garage had to be built. There was a tractor, contractors, and cement workers - my boys were all too excited!
Grandpa even let them move the bucket and drive it.
The dashing couple.
Sean and Ashely
They are so awesome and we wish them the best!
At the reception we were having some technical difficulties...
They got straightened out and all was well.
Cute kids...huh!
"Dashing...watch out girls, in 11 years I will be available!"
"Yes, I am cute and you love it!"
"Please tell me this is my new bike...I new it...you guys really do get me"
SURPRISE.....Happy Birthday MOM!
Savannah and Catalina immediately clicked!
They copied each other all the time.
They would pounce on each other and then roll and giggle.
And always hug if we told them too.
Sometimes sharing was not an option, but they pretty much got a long GREAT!
Dax loved having another baby to chase and tease.
Caleb had a blast show Savannah how to do things she never thought of before like jumping.
Pretty much this summer was really fun and I am so glad that our families let me and the kids share it with them. Thank you everyone for such fun memories.
Love YOU!
